Humboldt Home & Ambulatory Infusion Program
Offering advanced home and outpatient infusion therapy delivered with care
Humboldt Hom
e & Ambulatory Infusion programs provide high quality infusion services
either at home or in an outpatient setting. The programs allow for patients
and providers to partner in care in a method that is convenient, comfortable,
and cost-effective.
The Humboldt Home Infusion Program is accredited by the Joint Commission
and provides infusion services to patients in the comfortable setting
of their own home. This specialty pharmacy coordinates with several different
home health agencies to prepare and deliver medications, pumps, and supplies
as needed.
The Ambulatory Infusion Program is accredited by the American Osteopathic
Association and provides infusion therapy in a pleasant outpatient setting
with the care of registered nurses. This provides an option for patients
who are not able to receive services in the home setting.
Therapies include:
- IV antibiotics and other IV medication
- Total parenteral nutrition
- Enteral nutrition
- SQ and IM injections
- PICC insertions and IV management
- Pain management
- A range of other therapies
Advantages of Home and Outpatient Infusion Therapy
Lower cost
Many serious illnesses and medical conditions can now be treated in alternative
settings with significant savings compared to hospitalization. Our patients
benefit from our emphasis on high quality, cost-effective health care.
Preferred Treatment
Patients receiving home infusion therapy can be in the company of their
loved ones, where they feel more comfortable. After the initial training,
patients often administer therapy at home on their own, or with the help
of a caregiver. Some even return to work or school.
Safe
Advances in medical technology coupled with our highly skilled, trained
clinicians allow for safe home infusion of medications and solutions.
There is ongoing therapeutic drug monitoring by our nurses and pharmacists
to optimize therapy effectiveness and provide feedback to the physician.
Convenient
Our staff works closely with each patient, physician, nursing agency,
and family members/caregiver involved to ensure safe, high quality care.
We're ready to respond to your needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We are proud of our record of service to patients and providers in our
area, which includes all of Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
Humboldt Home & Ambulatory Infusion
