Making a New Chapter of Life as Seamless as Possible
Caring for a newborn can be a tremendously exhilarating experience. For
many women, having a baby is the ultimate dream, and though becoming a
mother can be an exciting time, it can also be a very life-changing and
exhausting time as well. Becoming a proud mother can change your life
– and the lives of everyone around you – in wonderful, unforgettable
ways. We truly look forward to sharing this very special chapter of your
life with you.
At Redwood Memorial Hospital, we know that pregnancy can bring loved ones
together in new, profound, and beautiful ways. That is why we offer family-centered
maternity services. In this context, you will be able to share the birth
of your baby with a labor partner, and with other special people you have
placed in your life, if your physician or midwife approves.
This way, your entire family can participate in the educational process
– as well as the birthing process, as you wish. We also make a special
effort to prepare the entire family for all aspects of having a baby.
Adding another member to the family can be such a beautiful thing, and
we want to make certain this transition is as seamless as possible. We
believe that it will be important for everyone to be on the same page
as you all prepare physically, socially, and emotionally for the birth
of a new child.
Personalized Care & Classes for Every Family
Prepared Childbirth and Hospital Orientation classes. For more information, please visit our
Classes and Events page or simply give us a call. A friendly member of our team would be
happy to speak with you and assist you in any way possible. Classes are
also available for Spanish speakers.
You Have Delivery Choices at Redwood Memorial Hospital
Choice is no new concept for Redwood Memorial Hospital. Our patients can choose
between services, including labor, delivery, and recovery in one of our
comfortable, home-like rooms. We even offer the choice of keeping your
friends or family right at your side.
With the help of a physician or midwife, you can decide how you want to
deliver your baby, the environment in which you want to give birth, and
how much you want your family and friends to participate in the experience
with you. You can also choose how you wish to care for your baby after
delivery. We have specialized security equipment and protocols that provide
safety to newborns, pediatric patients, and mothers.
Our new Labor Spa Room also features a large whirlpool tub, which is perfect
for relaxing during labor or combatting the pain of labor.
Compassion. Quality. Care.
You can take special comfort in knowing that Redwood Memorial Hospital
offers special services for every member of your family. Whatever options
you choose from our wide range of alternative birthing services, you can
rest assured that every member of our Maternity Center has been properly
and thoroughly trained to assist you during this very special and emotional time.
We strongly believe in providing personalized, compassionate care as we
facilitate and help navigate your family's birth process. Not only
is this a journey for you, but it is also a life-changing transition into
a very new, maybe even uncharted territory for your family. We take care
to encourage, support, and help you through this journey.
