Taking an Integrative Approach to Healing

At St. Joseph Hospital, we are committed to providing you with a level of care that ensures the preservation of your quality of life. By perfecting our surgical procedures, many of our patients can enjoy the same results of cancer surgery without the disfiguring aftermath. In fact, we routinely perform surgical treatment of prostate and colon cancer, and can preserve breast tissue by performing lumpectomy surgery on patients.

Collaboration with Stanford Cancer Institute

To provide our patients with the best in cancer care and treatment, we have developed an important collaborative relationship with the Stanford Cancer Institute. The Institute provides visiting professors who share their expertise and best practices with St. Joseph medical staff, consult on complex cases, and provide supportive care. This collaboration gives us formal and informal direct access to world class resources to ensure the best patient outcomes. Some of these resources include free medical library access for full-text articles from all journals, telemedicine subspecialty tumor boards, and help with clinical trial participation.
