St. Joseph Hospital is proud to present “Laughter is the Best Medicine,” a night of comedy with comedian Adam Christing and headliners The Passing Zone. Benefitting the St. Joseph Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.

Cure your ills with an evening of infectious laughter and entertainment as you step inside and enjoy the night-on-the-town atmosphere that combines elegance and excitement. Grab a cocktail at the bar provided by Six Rivers Brewery, listen to live music by The Undercovers, savor an array of local cuisine provided by Sweet Basil Catering, and peruse the handful of fantastic live auction packages before taking a seat for the main event.

You’ll fall out of your seat laughing one minute and gaze in amazement the next as multi-talented Adam Christing brings his flair for interactive comedy and magic to the stage. Then it’s time to dim the lights and cue the music, as Jon Wee and Owen Morse combine humor, dexterity and danger in a juggling act that took them to the finals of “America’s Got Talent.” The award-winning duo holds four Guinness Book records and, to their credit, have performed with Jay Leno, Penn and Teller, George Carlin and Bob Hope to name a few.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Joseph Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.

The shortage of primary care practitioners is one of the most prominent healthcare challenges affecting our community. As the area’s leading providers, St. Joseph Hospital and Open Door Community Health Centers have forged a unique partnership to address this obstacle. Their initiative is to create a family medicine residency program that will introduce primary care physicians to the North Coast while fulfilling their 3-year residency requirements. A high percentage of physicians stay within 50 miles of where they complete their residency and, as a result, our community stands to gain providers, increasing access to care throughout the North Coast.

Support Opportunities

Start-up costs for the residency program are an estimated $1.3M. Through grants and private donations we are on our way to reaching that goal; proceeds from “Laughter is the Best Medicine” will bring us even closer. We ask you to invest in the future of healthcare on the North Coast by sponsoring this event. Click here to view the sponsorship opportunity brochure.

If sponsorship is not an option for you this year; please consider attending as an alternative. General admission is $125 per person.
