Local pet store holds customer appreciation day to benefit customers, the community and St. Joseph Hospital’s Cancer Program

Eureka (May 16, 2013) – The owners of Myrtle Avenue Pet Center in Eureka have announced they're holding a customer appreciation day on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Not only will this event show the owners' appreciation to their loyal customers and the local community, but it will benefit St. Joseph Hospital's Cancer Program. Eighty-percent of the proceeds from the sales on June 8 will be donated to the program. The remaining amount will benefit the Sequoia Humane Society.

Owners Melanie and Larry Noe and Joyce Gross have been local business owners for several years. They have donated proceeds before from the pet center's special events to local organizations, but it was because of Joyce's excellent care at St. Joseph Hospital's Cancer Program that they decided to hold the event on June 8. "Animals and pets can be such a comfort, especially when we're sick. It seemed only natural to donate the proceeds from our customer appreciation day to two organizations – one that helps save animals and one that helps save patients' lives right here in our community," said Melanie Noe.

The customer appreciation day will offer: FREE dog baths and huge savings on every item in the store, including Advantage/Advantix. Free hot dogs, nachos and soda will be given to customers and raffles will be held as well.
