The hospital’s largest fundraiser, this two-day event features a Thursday night dinner and auction followed by a day-long golf tournament on Friday.

Hundreds of community residents attended the western-themed event, the proceeds of which go directly to St. Joseph Hospital’s Northeast Tower. When completed later this year, the Northeast Tower will be a state-of-the-art, three-story building totaling 100,000 square feet. The new facility will feature an expanded Emergency Department, a surgical suite with eight operating rooms and a catheterization lab, 40 patient care beds, the Intensive Care Unit, and new reception and waiting areas for patients and visitors.

St. Joseph Health, based in Orange, Calif., is also matching every dollar raised locally up to $12.5 million, meaning every dollar raised at the golf tournament was automatically doubled.

The winning team for the golf tournament was the Mad River Lumber team consisting of Travis Campbell, Ben Campbell, Bob Britt and Steve Kinder, followed closely by second place team Redwood Capital Bank that includes John Burke, Larry DeBeni, Jim Seiler and Fred Moore.

Mike McLaughlin won putting contest as well as the closest-to-the-hole competition for the men, while Jesse Duncan and Rosalinda Brainerd won the long drive competitions. Brainerd also won the closest-to-the-hole competition for the women and Rich Steinhelper hit a hole-in-one on Hole 5 to win a Fairmont Hotel and golf vacation package.

The St. Joseph Hospital Foundation holds its annual Golf Classic fundraiser every June. Visit the SJH special events page for more information about hospital foundation events.
