Administrative Fellowship Program

Fellowship Mission and Purpose

St. Joseph Health's Northern California region offers a unique fellowship experience that allows the fellows to observe and contribute at an executive level, to a values based organization, who has had long-standing commitment to the communities they serve. The one-year fellowship program is coordinated and supported by the respective Chief Operating Officer of each facility as well as the strategic services team.

The rotation program is designed to cultivate leaders in the field of healthcare through exposure to a wide range of hands-on operational, financial, strategic and project management initiatives. In addition, executive teams support and encourage active engagement with local and regional leadership involvement, through the participation in leadership meetings and one-on-one mentorship.

St. Joseph Health looks for driven individuals who closely align and seek to contribute to our mission, vision and values.

Our Mission

To extend the healing ministry of Jesus in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange by continually improving the health and quality of life of people in the communities we serve.

Our Vision

We bring people together to provide compassionate care, promote health improvement and create healthy communities.

The mission is evidenced in many ways: through grants awarded to community entities; community services; physician referrals, youth programs, and the dedication of employees to carry out the mission every day. We are proud of the medical services offered and caliber of personnel within our health system, and we look forward to serving the north coast health needs well into the future.

This commitment is expressed and demonstrated in our four core values: Dignity, Excellence, Service, and Justice.

Our Values

We are guided, in all we do, by our core values of Dignity, Service, Excellence, and Justice.

These principles speak to the heart of who we are, both as a values-based organization and as individuals dedicated to the well-being of others. They are the core values by which we endeavor to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

Dignity

We respect each person as an inherently valuable member of the human community and as a unique expression of life.

Service

We bring together people who recognize that every interaction is a unique opportunity to serve one another, the community, and society.

Excellence

We foster personal and professional development, accountability, innovation, teamwork, and commitment to quality.

Justice

We advocate for systems and structures that are attuned to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and that promote a sense of community among all persons.
